Every year Kip & I wait until the kids are in bed to decorate the tree. We never tell them when we are going to do it so it’s a surprise when they come down in the morning. When they went to bed the night before there was no tree- when they wake up-SURPRISE!
Last year our fake tree died so we decided to get a real one this year. The kids helped pick the tree out on Sunday but didn’t know when we were going to decorate it- we waited until Tuesday night to do it so that it would still be somewhat of a surprise.
