Sunday, 12/6/09- Christmas Fun Day

Sunday, December 6th.

We had SUCH a fun afternoon & evening!   We started off by going to the Pleasant Garden Christmas Parade. The kids were at a good spot and got a ton of candy so they were just thrilled.

Then we went to the Kersey Valley Christmas Tree Farm and picked out our Christmas tree and a wreath for the front door.   We huddled around the bonfire, the kids rode the cow train and jumped on the giant pillow- fun stuff.

Afterwards, we dropped the tree off at home and then headed to the lighting of Greensboro College’s historic Nativity.   Two years ago, vandals destroyed the 7o year old Nativity set with a baseball bat.   Luckily, GC still had the original molds that were used to make the figures- they hired Kip to make the new figures using one of our foam products.    They came out beautifully.

Then it was out to dinner at Macaroni Grill- all three kids DEVOURED a plate of calamari.   They loved it, even after we told them it was squid!

After dinner we drove around Greensboro looking at Christmas lights and then picked up Christmas doughnuts to bring home.

What a really great day!
