Girls…  Sharing a Room!

It’s long been my desire for my kids to share a room.  As soon as we found out Savvy was going to be a girl, I started planning on putting her in Mary’s room.   Now with baby girl on the way, we thought it was time to start working on putting the girls together.   We got Mary’s old crib down from the attic and spent Friday evening rearranging the furniture in her room to make space for the crib.   Originally we intended to just get the furniture set up and give the girls a chance to get used to it- we thought we would move Savvy into the room in January.   Both girls we SO EXCITED Friday night- Savvy was just beside herself- she ran into the nursery and fetched giraffy and bebe (her blanket) and brought them to the crib in Mary’s room.  She kept repeating “Mar-bed, Nay-bed, Sav-bed” (Mary’s bed, Nathan’s bed and then pointing to the crib in Mary’s room- Savvy’s bed).   We decided to go ahead and see how they did since they were so excited.  You’ve never seen two little girls just fly into their beds.  So far it has been a success- they are thrilled to be together.

My, what a glorious lip!

Silly Nathan- but- wow!  He has the  bluest eyes!

Please ignore the lack of decorating- there was originally a dresser under those pictures.  We’ve got to move pictures, buy a crib skirt, get something for the wall above Mary’s bed, etc.   (By the way, see the dolly cradle in the corner? That was my 5th birthday present and the desk next to Mary’s bed was my 12th birthday present!)

Savvy, so excited for bed- patting herself and repeating “Sav-Bed!  Sav-bed!”   (Savvy’s bed, Savvy’s bed!)

Kip and I fixed up Nathan’s train table- it came out great!

Very very sweet. I have always wanted the “boys room” and the “girls room” too.

Rachael and Natalie share they have bunk beds but sleep together on the bottom bunk.

Thanks so much for your comment, Kelly! Your kiddos are getting so big, they are so beautiful! We don’t have internet anymore, and I miss checking in on everyone! Hope things are going well.
